      Resident Care:

        We cater to the physical, emotional and psychosocial needs of our residents.

        Residents include those who have had recent surgery and need assistance or rehabilitation prior to returning home.

        When clients arrive overmedicated, sedated and mentally dulled, we work with them and their health care team to tailor their medication protocol to promote a more dynamic and interactive life.

        We provide supporting care for residents during cancer treatment, including individualized medication adjustment and dietary needs.

        We provide total care and support for those with progressively debilitating neurological problems.

        We provide short term and long term supportive care and pain management to maximize comfort during the end of life transition.

      Our Facility consists of:

        Lovely private home overlooking Saratoga passage with wheel chair accessible walkway around home and grounds.

        Four private rooms for singles or couples, with electric adjustable beds, cable television and private phones.

        The common dayroom is open and bright with a view of water, mountains and patio.

        Musical instruments, reading materials and board games are there for enjoyment.

        The dining area adjoins the kitchen where meals are prepared and served and families can entertain.

        Eagles fly overhead and occasional whales travel the Saratoga passage.

        Staff

          Dr. Grethe Cammermeyer RN, PhD has specialized in the diagnosis, assessment and medical/nursing treatment of clients with neurological and cognitive impairment. Experience includes bedside nursing in Vietnam and Veterans Administration Medical Centers, clinical specialist in neuroscience nursing, university clinical faculty and health consultion on a national level.

          Kathy McLean NAC/PTA has had extensive and diverse clinical practice caring for the frail elderly, assisting them with activities of daily living and tailoring care to maximize their potential using her background in physical therapy.
